Rules of Clay Therapy and Hydrotherapy

  • Before starting any form of clay therapy or hydrotherapy, a detailed examination by our doctor is required to rule out the possibility of any disease that might exclude you from clay therapy or hydrotherapy.
  • Before having clay therapy or hydrotherapy, your stomach should be empty, according to the official instructions, two hours after breakfast and four hours after lunch.
  • After having any form of treatment with a thermal natural resource, you are required to rest for about half an hour in a warm and sheltered place.
  • Especially before entering the group tanks, you should have visited the restroom to empty your bladder.
  • It is prohibited to use the thermal natural resource without the written permission of the doctor and it is forbidden to take thermal water or thermal clay outside the area of the Mudbaths.
  • The use of glass and sharp objects around and inside tanks and showers is prohibited.
  • Animals are not allowed in Mudbaths Krinides Kavala.
  • It is forbidden to consume food and drink in the areas of clay and water tanks.
  • To enter the group tanks it is mandatory to use the bathing suit or special underwear and shower cap that you can buy at the reception.
  • Contraindications to therapeutic clay therapy and hydrotherapy include: serious systemic diseases such as cancer, hyperthyroidism, tuberculosis, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, anemia, pyoderma, pulmonary edema, recent myocardial infarction or angina, pustular psoriasis, spongiform fungal infection, skin cancer, hemorrhage of various organs, nephropathy, hepatopathy, advanced vascular malformations, severe nervous and mental illness, pregnancy (especially after the 6th month), menstruation and general exacerbation of chronic disease.
  • Cleanliness in all areas, including clay therapy or hydrotherapy, must be perfect and all of these areas must meet the requirements of hygiene and safety.
  • Those who wish to enter the tanks can leave their personal belongings and valuables in the reception to avoid losing them. We are not responsible in case of loss of the above.
  • You should follow the instructions of the doctor and the employees who are in charge of the clay therapy area.
  • It is forbidden for minors and people suffering from dementia or severe motor problems to enter the clay therapy and hydrotherapy tanks without an escort.
  • Smoking is prohibited in clay therapy and hydrotherapy areas.
  • Before entering the clay therapy and hydrotherapy tanks, a thermal shower is mandatory.
